In 2023 it will be hosted on April 15th and 16th with options for guests to book three different types of seating options to enjoy the view. Drop Zone tickets starting at $29 include show narration and music as well as easy access to concessions and facilities. Sand Box tickets begin at $42.25 per person and provide spectators with a private viewing area in the sand to savor the sights above as well as reserved parking options near the event. For $179 a person, guests can enjoy Flight Line Club VIP which includes catered lunch, tents, and tables, as well as a beverage bar and private beach viewing. This year, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will take to the sky at the Cocoa Beach Air Show while an A-10 Thunderbolt II demo is also on the lineup. The Remax Skydiving Team will be participating in the show in 2023 as well as an Air Force heritage flight, 920th Rescue Wing Czar demo, a C-17 Globemaster III demo, and aerial maneuvers by John Black.
Wildlife and Easter fun collide this year when you book tickets to the annual Brevard Zoo Easter Brunch event. It will be held on April 8th between 10:00 am and 12:15 pm at the zoo’s Nyami Nyami Lodge. A ticket includes brunch as well as a beer, wine, or mimosa for adults. The menu hosts everything from a waffle station and breakfast pastries to Greek yogurt parfaits, breakfast potatoes, bacon and sausage, and more! In addition to brunch, there will be lawn games and photo opportunities for guests to enjoy. This annual event enjoys its 8th year in 2023 and will once again be hosted at Cocoa Riverfront Park at 401 Riveredge Boulevard in Cocoa Village. It all kicks off at 2:00 pm and lasts until 9:00 pm.
On Saturday, April 1, 2023, the First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach will be hosting a Family Easter Fest and Egg Hunt that’s open to the public and fun for all ages. The event will be held from 10:30 am until 1:00 pm at 3300 N. Atlantic Avenue and will include food, goodies, games, raffles, a bounce house for little ones and beyond! Entrance is free for the first 100 children to sign up for the egg hunt; afterward, egg coloring will be a part of the activities available.
If you’re traveling to Cocoa Beach with a canine companion this Easter or you simply have a heart for pets, be sure to attend the 11th annual East Coast Dog Surfing Festival presented by Ron Jon Surf Shop and the Brevard Humane Society. This event will be held Sunday, April 9th starting at 8:00 am at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach located at 1500 N. Atlantic Avenue. The event is free to attend but a $5 donation for participating dogs provides canines with access to the beach and proceeds go towards the Brevard Humane Society. This day of fun under the sun includes dog surfing lessons, dog Easter costume contests, a paddle out, and of course, dog surfing championships too. The race returns for its 11th year on the Florida Space Coast! Enjoy four days and nights of parties, concerts, and of course the Space Coast Super Boat Grand Prix. The family-friendly event gives you a chance to watch the top race teams from around the world compete. There are several classes for competition, with the premier class reaching speeds of over 175 miles per hour! This year’s event takes place May 18-21 and more information including tickets and a schedule is available on the event website.
For those who view baseball as more than America’s favorite pastime, Florida is the place to be each spring. Many of its towns host MLB teams for annual spring training, including Cocoa Beach. Starting at the end of February and through the end of March, the Washington Nationals take over their spring training site of The Ballpark of the Palms Beaches to warm up for the season to come.
Since 2013, the fest has been a part of Spring Break. Watch competitors catch waves at Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach. The award-winning festival, now in its 38th year, draws tens of thousands of art and music lovers throughout Central Florida, as well as visitors from further afield. The family-friendly event promotes and encourages all artistic endeavors, education, and appreciation of the arts. Visit over 200 booths, and enjoy live music, food, drinks, and special activities for the kids. The festival is free: free admission, parking, children’s activities, and live entertainment. Stop by April 22-23 starting at 9 a.m. each day.

The Holiday Boat Parade will be held on Friday, December 9th between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm with prime seating options available at Riverfront Park. The Holiday Boat Parade launches at Barton Avenue and ends at Intercoastal Waterway Park. This illuminating and whimsical on-the-water event is made up of vessels of all sizes decked out in their holiday best. Spectators can watch everything from charter party boats and speed boats to sailboats drift by lit up with lights from stem to stern. Some vessels have even been known to decorate their decks with everything from holiday lawn ornaments and Christmas trees to inflatable reindeer, Santas, and snowmen too. Passengers themselves typically dress up in holiday attire and some boats blast holiday music to make the festive scene even more fun for those watching.
Enjoy a fun Cocoa Beach Christmas event this year that’s truly one-of-a-kind when you choose to watch the Cocoa Beach Surfing Santas hit the waves in holiday style! This event is typically hosted on December 24th and sees a variety of surfers wearing their best Santa apparel get out on the water on their surfboards, much to the delight of spectators! Hundreds of Santas participate in this annual event with raises money for the Florida Surf Museum. Once you’ve had your fill of surfing fun, head over to Hunkerdown Hideaway on S. On December 17th head to the Cocoa Beach Pier and watch Santas fall from the sky at this free event! Come watch professional skydivers dressed as Santa demonstrate a variety of skydiving techniques. Some of those techniques include flying canopies, high-speed landings, and more, all while swerving around an inflatable Christmas tree, carrying flags, and making attempts to land on a giant inflatable Santa chair. The first skydivers will land at 11:00 am and it will continue until 3:00 pm.
