Whenever you do visit Cocoa Beach, you will notice that many of the local restaurants in the area focus on fresh seafood. It should come as no surprise, as Cocoa Beach is right on the water, making it easier than ever to obtain freshly caught seafood. One local restaurant that offers a delicious array of seafood and so much more is Fat Kahunas. This local restaurant is a tiny yet cozy restaurant right on the water. They feature a variety of seafood dishes including fresh scallops, tuna, halibut, and much more. The secret children’s menu makes sure even the little ones will find something they like even if they haven’t gotten a taste for seafood yet. Fat Kahunas is open Thursday through Monday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for dinner; since the restaurant is so small reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 321-783-6858.

The Tiny Turtle

This Caribbean fusion restaurant is a great spot for a healthy meal that won’t break the bank. You’ll find a variety of delicious options, including a vegetarian and gluten free Quinoa Bowl with quinoa, kale mix, green peppers, onion, guacamole, black beans, salsa, tomatillo sauce, mango caribe, and crème caribe. Meat lovers can dig into the Tripleta Sandwich, featuring roasted island pork, braised island chicken, savory sweet ham, pepper jack cheese, romaine, tomato, potato sticks and crème caribe on Puerto Rican sobao bread. You can find The Tiny Turtle at 249 Minutemen Causeway, open from 8:00 AM to 9:00PM Tuesday – Thursday, until 10:00 PM Friday and Saturday, and closing early at 3:00 PM on Sunday.

The Green Room Café

Just because you are on vacation does not mean you have to give up your healthy diet. You can enjoy health-conscious meals when you make a stop in The Green Room Café. This local restaurant features everything you could want for a healthy meal such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and smoothies. They use organic ingredients whenever possible and there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan entrees on the menu too. While most sandwich and salad shops often have customers grabbing their items to go you will notice most stick around to enjoy their meal at the restaurant. This means you know it will be good when the busy locals of Cocoa Beach want to take in the friendly service of The Green Room Café. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Saturday and Monday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
